Caputo’s Market & Deli (Holladay) – Monger/Assistant Manager (August 2021 – Present)

• Manage a staff of 8-14 employees to prepare orders quickly and accurately, help customers, and complete prep work.
• Place large paper/plastic and food product orders with accuracy and punctuality.
• Memorize notes on over 150 diverse products to drive sales and educate costumers.
• Promote sales of artisan cheese, chocolate, meat, and other products.
• Competent in all aspects of store operation, including but not limited to – sandwich preparation, handling customer concerns, prep work, soup-making, and counting cash deposits for bank runs.
• Hands-on experience in training new employees and developing our training program.
• Produce sales and education-focused copy for the Caputo’s blog.

• Operated a register, performed shift cuts, and checked in invoices from vendors.
• Cross-trained in store side and kitchen operations. Worked kitchen shifts as needed.

Editorial Apprentice at Allrecipes Magazine (Meredith Corp.) (September 2019-May 2020)

• Worked closely with editors and art director on stories, fact-checking, and photo shoots.
• Frequent usage of Adobe InDesign and Acrobat, Woodwing and CMS software.
• Researched and interviewed sources to produce stories for print publication.
• Wrote table of contents blurbs and subheads for print stories.

• Worked with an editor to produce captivating entertainment-focused stories.
